Troubleshooting & Fault Codes
The Itel Power Tank is designed to be user-friendly. If the red "FAULT" light turns on or the unit beeps, check the following:
⚠️ Continuous Beep / Red Light (Overload)
Cause: You have plugged in appliances that exceed 500W (e.g., Electric Iron, Hot Plate, or large Fridge).
Solution: Unplug the heavy appliance immediately. The inverter will reset automatically or require a restart. Only use devices under 500W total.
⚠️ Short Beep Every Second (Low Battery)
Cause: The battery is running low (below 10% or 20%).
Solution: Connect the unit to a solar panel or AC grid (wall socket) to recharge immediately.
⚠️ Unit Not Charging from Solar
Check: Ensure your solar panel voltage is within the 60V - 150V range. If you are using a single small panel (e.g., 18V), it may not be enough to wake up the MPPT. We recommend the Itel 410W panel.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Can this power a Fridge or Freezer?
It depends. A small bedside fridge (under 100W) can work. However, a large deep freezer often has a "start-up surge" of over 1000W, which may trip the 500W inverter. For freezers, we recommend our Itel 1.5kVA or 3kVA Solar Hybrid systems.
Does it include installation?
This unit is Plug & Play! You do not need a technician to wire it to your distribution board. Simply plug it into a wall socket to charge, and plug your appliances into the unit. If you buy the Solar Panel bundle, we provide basic guidance on panel placement.
